Why two radiation conventions?
Radiation fields such as `tr` are energy density accumulated from the issue time (J/m²), monotonically increasing. The irradiance (W/m²) used in business is obtained by differencing: (accumulated end − accumulated start) ÷ interval seconds, i.e. ÷ 900 for 15-minute steps. The "15-min irradiance" chart above visualizes this conversion — nighttime plateaus difference to zero, which directly reveals sunrise / sunset periods. See Usage Notes.
